Combat Vision MMA spoke to Darren O’Gorman after his second round submission of Bryan “The Big Bad Wolf” Creighton at Cage Warriors 84 at the O2 Indigo in London. Darren has now won five of his seven professional fights.

Darren congratulations on the win. How did it feel to get your hand raised tonight.

“It feels good to get the win inside the distance once again. I am not too pleased with my performance, but a win’s a win”

Darren you got the win by submission inside the 2nd round. How much of tonight’s performance was built on the game plan for Bryan Creighton.

“The second round performance was more to the game plan we had strategized going in. Round one was a performance of errors, we’ve been trying to correct”

Darren this is your fifth submission victory in your professional career. Would you say your ground game is your biggest weapon inside the cage.

Yes I think it is my biggest weapon. I train to be able to finish a fight from any position I find myself on the ground, which puts taking me down a threat to people”

Darren’s Cage Warriors record is (1-1). Is there anyone in the bantamweight division that you have your eye on and what’s next for you in terms of progression with your fight career.

“There is nobody I have my eye on next. I just like to get in there and compete, I will take whoever Cage Warriors offer me. My aim is to keep progressing for a title shot. I always want to take myself to the next level”
