Combat Vision MMA were lucky enough to speak to BJJ Cork fighter Dee Begley after the announcement from Cage Legacy Fighting Championship that Dee and her opponent Rosa Walsh would fight for the very first Cage Legacy women’s championship.

Combat Vision MMA asked Dee about the fight announcement, writing Cage Legacy history as the first female champion and her opponent Rosa Walsh.

“I‘m really excited for the fight. I think the contrasting styles, will make for a good match up! Rosa has a lot of Jiu Jitsu experience behind her. But, I’m confident I will over power her wrestling and coming from a kickboxing background, I’ll more than have the upper hand standing up”

“I am delighted to get the chance to be the first female Cage Legacy champion and I hope there will be more female champions and female’s coming into the other weight classes too!”

“I have always gone into my fights believing, I will get the win and this fight is no different. Rosa will be a tough opponent.

But, I’m ready to put on a cracker of a fight and bring another belt back to BJJ Cork”
