Budo 20 takes place on Sunday April 16th at the Holiday Inn, Bolton.
The main event of the evening will be a fight between Ludus Magnus fighter Piotr “ The Hitman” Chmielecki (4-0) and Anarchy MMA fighter Andrew Bakewell (1-0) for the vacant Budo light heavyweight championship.
Combat Vision MMA were lucky enough to speak to both main event fighters on what will be a barn burner of a fight.
Piotr Chmielecki had the following to say about the fight: “I really can't wait to step into the cage on April 16th. I have a few goals to achieve this year and winning that belt is one of them. I was prepared to fight with Eskils Magnussen. Unfortunately, he pulled out after a rib injury. Fortunately, Andrew Bakewell has come forward to take the fight. I heard he is a good striker. It's something I like to do. However, I would like to try his ground game. I have great coaches and we are training every style. They are doing a fantastic job. I want to make them to be proud of me. I'm glad that I will be a part of BUDO 20 and fighting for the championship. My fight is a main event, I'm sure it will be an interesting battle. I am ready for 5 rounds”
When Combat Vision MMA spoke to Andrew Bakewell he said: “I'm looking forward to the fight. You can see by his last performances he is a dangerous lad. But, I'm not coming to make up the numbers and I'm looking forward to a good test. I'm stepping in at the last minute. But, I have hardly been out of the gym since the new year, so I'll see if it's enough on the night. I feel as ready as ever”
Budo 20 delivers a fantastic fight card and there is no better way to spend easter sunday than watching elite fighters doing battle in the cage.
